I have been painting dog portraits since leaving Art College in 1984.
I work from photographs that are either supplied by the customer, or if a local commission, usually taken by my husband. If you require photographs and live in our locality we will take photographs free of charge, providing you bring your pet to us, however, if you would like a set of printed photo's afterwards then there is a charge.
My working medium is usually gouache, although I do also work with pastel or oils. Any of these painting mediums enables fine detail and a rich use of colour, giving a tremendous amount of realism. All these painting mediums are also very permanent and stable.
We live between the Market Towns of Stamford in Lincolnshire & Oakham in Rutland in Leicestershire just 1 mile from Rutland Water.
PLEASE NOTE, if you live outside our locality, you can email your favourite dog photo's to us.
When your dog painting is completed, we can scan and send a proof via email for your approval.
If alterations are necessary we will make the adjustments and send further proofs until we get the portrait as you like it.
