ABOUT THE ARTIST
Penny specialises in pet portraits (including cats) from photos, using various mediums, ie gouache watercolour, acrylic, oil, etc, depending on the animal’s coat and the effect desired and also importantly, which medium her customers prefer. Her work aims to capture the “personality” and expression of the pet —the eyes are critical, along with the pose & coat details, etc.

ABOUT STAMFORD IN LINCOLNSHIRE.
Stamford is a market town and a civil parish in the South Kesteven district of Lincolnshire.
It lies on the River Welland, bordering Cambridgeshire and Northamptonshire.
The town has very ancient roots and appears in records such as the Anglo-Saxon Chronicle and in the Domesday Book of 1086.
In the medieval times it was a walled town, and a centre for wool trade.
Important buildings include Browne’s Hospital from the 15th-century, and the Elizabethan stately home Burghley House.
