Here is one of my latest London based commissions- the request: “My dog Alba is a rescue from Romania. I would love anthropomorphised portrait of her wearing traditional Marama & Le”
The customer has received the acrylic on canvas portrait and says:

I have been a Pet Artist painting quality pet portraits for over 30 years. Along with my husband John we have an Art Gallery & also an Art Gallery & also a Bespoke Picture Framing Service in Exton in Rutland, the smallest county in the United Kingdom.

Born in Harrogate North Yorkshire

I was born in Harrogate in North Yorkshire and started my career as a Pet Artist painting Pet Portraits on my father's Farm, at Cold Overton near Melton Mowbray, Leicestershire, after leaving Loughborough Art College in 1984.
I have a long history of artists in my family line. My mother studied at the Harrogate School of Art. In the second World War she was a red cross nurse and she sketched and painted many scenes from that era and time depicting the life and activities of ordinary people at their workplace i.e. nursing, fire service, trams and dockyard scenes etc.

International Artist

I love painting pet portraits & I am very passionate about my work. My aim is to achieve the best quality pet portraits that have a realistic likeness to your animal. I have been commissioned from all over the UK and many commissions abroad. I am very happy to take on international commissions and have recently shipped four paintings paintings to Alaska..
I was once commissioned by Sir Henry Tate to paint the Cottesmore Hunt opening meet at Preston Lodge. I am also an accomplished architectural, landscape and floral painter.
