Moo is stabled at Lyddington near the Market Town of Uppingham in Rutland. We went over to Lyddington to meet Jane and her son Joe at this picturesque village of ironstone and thatched cottages with a Bede House next to the church, to photograph Moo for this Portrait in oils on canvas.
A beautiful and challenging work in oils, with a palette of ochres, browns and hues of green in the background, Penny Richardson admirably succeeds in capturing the perfect likeness of MOO. The shafts of light pick out the mane with the flash of white down to his velvety nose.
