This view of Dexter Cattle is looking across at Lax Hill from the Egerton Nature Reserve at Rutland Water situated in the East Midlands between the Market Towns of Oakham in Rutland and Stamford in Lincolnshire.
Dexter cattle are a breed of miniature cattle that originated in Ireland. They are the smallest of the European cattle breeds, about a third the size of a Friesian milking cow.
The Dexter Cattle weigh between 600 and 700lbs and mature bulls weigh about 1,000lbs
