The Village of Normanton is situated on the eastern shore of Rutland Water just outside the village of Edith Weston. Normanton Hall was a seat of the Earls of Ancaster and an important centre of their estates. The stable block of their hall is now Normanton Park hotel the sits almost opposite Normanton Church. This Painting of the Normanton Sunset by artist Penny Richardson is looking across the water toward Edith Weston Sailing Club.
