Interesting facts about Steeton in West Yorkshire.
Taz is a Dalmatian from the village of Steeton in the Keighley area of West Yorkshire.
Steeton is north West of Bradford and south east of Skipton. Historically it is part of the West Riding of Yorkshire.
Burnley is to the west of Steeton in the county of Lancashire. Steeton is mentioned in a domesday survey under the ancient name of Stiverton.
The village website says the Steeton is taken from its Saxon possessor called Stephen.
Taz the Dalmatian was painted in gouache watercolour on board and framed at our picture framing workshop.
