Porthor is famous for its ‘whistling sands’ and glistening waters. A beautiful sandy beach on the rugged northern coastline of the Llŷn Peninsula. To get there follow the B4417 through Nefyn and Tudweiliog. At the T-junction at Pen y Groeslon turn right and in ½ a mile follow signposted minor road on the right.

When you arrive there is a National Trust grass and gravel car park. Gravel path to steep tarmac lane down to the beach where there is a cafe.
