Seals known as Pinnipeds are a widely distributed marine mammals.
They are protected from the cold by a thick layer of blubber. A clear membrane covers their eyes, They also have sensitive whiskers that help them detect prey in murky water.
Seals are semi-aquatic, which means they often spend a portion of each day on land and we see them often basking in the sun on the rocky beaches of the Llyn Peninsula in North Wales.
